How many hours have you put in? I’m on about 30 when I looked this morning.

Another thing I love about the souls games is that it doesn't force the story down your throat. It's up to you to find out the story by reading descriptions on items and speaking to NPCs.

Re: Elden Ring
How do I find that on the PS5?
Re: Elden Ring
Go to system, hit L1 as if you’re going to logout, it’s there.
Re: Elden Ring
33:04 for me, when did this game come out? A week ago?
Re: Elden Ring
Yeah. The world and stories are there. But you have to look for them, it doesn’t hold your hand. I love that. Like the quest I mentioned earlier. I’m actually bothered that it could have turned out better. Or maybe not. Who knows? Just like real life I suppose. Rather than this go to a marker, watch a cutscene, kill some baddies, go to another marker, rinse, repeat. Brilliant.Another thing I love about the souls games is that it doesn't force the story down your throat. It's up to you to find out the story by reading descriptions on items and speaking to NPCs.
Re: Elden Ring
To be honest I had no idea this game even was coming til the day before it came out and you were all excited about it. I took a bit of a punt on release day specially as I had just started Cyberpunk and was getting into that. And I was thinking about Horizon as well.
But it’s a revelation, I can’t believe how good it is. And I love that a lot of YouTubers I follow are all into it and streaming it, everyone is experiencing it at once which is awesome, it feels like we’re all in the same moment of awesomeness.

If you do play the old soulsborne games you will quickly realise it's such a good move. You want to know the story of the world you are in so you start going down rabbit holes. It's lazy game design having cutscenes or dialogue all over the place, it's genius to ask the player to find it out through the game.Yeah. The world and stories are there. Miyazaki is a genius is what I'm saying.
Re: Elden Ringp
I was thinking about this, I went for a standard melee build and plowed points into vigour, strength endurance etc.
I've changed my build up aswell. Switched to a magic build
But I would love to go through the game as a mage and also a samurai and I think the experience of both would be equally rewarding.
Smashing through cunts with my +4 greatsword is mint though, so satisfying. I just got some massive weapon (like Dave’s mum etc) that I need to put a few points into dexterity to use properly but it seems suddenly like runes are piling up so it shouldn’t take long. This game
Earlier I got a whip, it’s never going to be a main weapon but smacking lesser bitches about with it is funny

I've never been into big slashing weapons from earlier Dark Souls games but looking at videos and shit it looks like that's the way to go. Big weapons just stagger bosses in two or 3 hits and I'm here with two daggers (that do a shit ton on damage if you can contuinly attack them (Bleed)) but never actually being able to hit the boss because the weapons are so short. I was a glass cannon but I've decided to mix it up and go for a mage build.
