Re: Fact of the day
Liberia president and former World Footballer of the Year George Weah made a surprise return to international action in Monrovia on Tuesday in Liberia's 2-1 loss to Nigeria.
Liberia had arranged the friendly to retire the number 14 jersey made famous by Weah.
But fans were in for a shock when, 16 years after his last international appearance, the striker led the national team onto the pitch wearing it instead. Weah turns 52 in just over a fortnight.

It’s 22 years since Graham Souness took a call from Aly Dia whom he was told was George Weahs cousin. Souness subsequently bought him for Southampton, played him for 50 mins against Leeds before realizing someone had sold him a crock of lying shit

Re: Fact of the day
You wonder how it could happen.
Re: Fact of the day
Another one or two.
George Weah played for Liberia against Nigeria on Tuesday at the right old age of 51. On the same day his son Tim was playing for USA against Mexico
