Suffered a brain hemorrhage this afternoon
Nothing can be done
His brain is filling with blood now and will start shutting down

The nurses have sent us home
It’ll just have to let it run it’s course now. I guess they know the next few days will be more and more difficult and we should rest up for now

Been here since 8am yesterday now in the palliative care suite. He has a morphine pump to keep him calm and the priest gave him his last rites last night.
There’s been a few times when his breathing has got very faint you think well this is it but he’s still going.
They’ve just taken him off the oxygen so I guess that’ll speed things along

He went just before 6
He was in a lot of pain in the end so it was good to get it over with. He nursed my mum and uncle through long illnesses and always said he didn’t want to go that way being a burden on people
I haven’t slept and stink so it’s a shower and fight the tiredness to raise a glass
