Re: The news thread
Yeah, hounding someone out of a career just because they've tried it on with someone is a bit much. That Weinstein deserved it, but since then it's gone mad. I was please that Julie Hartley Brewer, or whatever her name is came out and said it was a load of nonsense when the papers went after a bloke for touching her knee twenty years ago.
Does she really say it's alright for men to hit women though?
I was watching one of those tacky youtube shows the other night, and it showed one woman pissed up taking a swing for a bouncer. She misses and he smacks her in the face. You can argue all day if he should have done it or not, but they interviewed the woman in question, and she took no responsibility for her actions at all, and it was all the bouncers fault/

Re: The news thread
One day a few years back a woman I used to knock around with for a while got into work and she was buzzing. I asked her what had happened and she said she had been walking past a group of workmen and got a wolf whistle.
She was absolutely delighted. She'd been on a health trip recently and took that as proof that she was starting to get the health results she wanted.
Two women told her it was degrading and demeaning to get wolf whistled but she didn't care, she was just happy to feel attractive.
They were quite forceful with her about it. They were both deeply unattractive 'lesbians'. She told of them to piss off. Good. She can feel how she wants. I swear these overly liberal types are moving quickly towards fascism and thought-control. Sadly the more Weimsteins and Spaceys emerge the harder it's going to be for non abusive males to prove their sincerity.

I've started a degree in international safety and management (NEBOSH) specialising in oil and gasUAE eh, what's the story then?
I'm (hopefully) going to be the company SHE advisor, gigs coming up in Gglasgow, Denmark and Oman.
I've been sort of told the Oman gig will be mine 6 weeks on 2 weeks off. £2000 a week

Re: The news thread
I don't like him.
Re: The news thread
Fair enough. I'm not like a massive fan but he's given me a few chuckles the last couple of years, and it's only up the road so why not.
Lee Hurst is playing locally late September too, might try and get along to that. Be interesting to compare performances seeing as they have different views on certain issues. Be interesting to subtly compare the audiences too

I bought my dad tickets to see Jason Manford, so I'll have to go with him. Be interesting as he just been caught playing away again.
