Liverpool braced for Bayern bid to snatch Roberto Firmino
LIVERPOOL have been warned to brace themselves this summer for interest surrounding Roberto Firmino.
The Brazilian is one of the club’s prized assets and a backup option, let alone a replacement, isn’t on the agenda this summer.
Yet after a career-best haul of 23 goals - with two months of the season remaining - the contribution the forward has made has not gone unnoticed. Once considered underrated, Firmino is now earned widespread praise from plenty in the footballing world - including pundits.
But that has led to speculation the South American will be attracting attention from other clubs across Europe, with former Arsenal striker Ian Wright warning Liverpool that Bayern Munich may come calling. Speaking to Sky Sports, he reportedly said: "They are talking about (Robert) Lewandowski to Real Madrid.
"If that happens Bayern want Bobby Firmino. Firmino is an excellent nine and a half. He is unbelievable."
Firmino joined Anfield in 2015 and has become central to Jurgen Klopp’s style of football. Reports in Germany claimed that the Reds were looking to clinch a club record £90million deal for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, who has netted 18 goals for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.
However, the 22-year-old Germany international doesn’t feature on Klopp’s wish-list. Recruiting a centre-forward isn’t on the agenda as Klopp is happy with the cover he’s got for his first choice no.9.
Shit..

Well that's just it. What sources does Ian Wright have at Bayern?
None.
The rest is just lazy. Erm, playing doing really well will go to Madrid or Barca. Stunning journolisim.

It's like our resident Four Four Two journalist Void said, Bayern don't pay big transfer fees. 80 mill release clause currently in place.
