Sakho has had issues with his weight since joining from Paris Saint-Germain three years ago. He was out of shape when he reported back for pre-season training last July with concerns raised by staff about his diet and his lifestyle.

I felt like this news had taken the spring out of our step and we looked flat against Newcastle. Worst possible timing.

We looked great in the first half tbh so I don't think you can blame the shite 2nd half performance on sakho's predicament.
Mignolet's fuck up for Newcastle's first changed the tone for the rest of the game. We became nervous and Newcastle grew in confidence as a result. 2-0 is always a dangerous lead but we have already thrown away a 2-0 lead at home to Sunderland this season as well
