Tbh dub I kinda had the same feeling when I origionally read what he said. The right thing to do would have been to say nothing but coming out with his comment of I would have signed a new contract if he had been offered a new one in the summer is putting the blame on the club/Rodgers. No but there was obviously some sort of agreement whether it was just an oral agreement. New York were heavily using him in promoting their club in bid to get fans as I think its their first season in the MSL. Yes Lampard hasn't done anything wrong technically but it does say what he is like as a person and also says what he thinks of MSL and of the fans of New York.
