I downloaded it but haven't tried it yet as my list of unfinished games is too silly at the moment so I've been trying to crack on with Horizon zero dawn first.

Press Triangle to cycle weapon. Hold triangle to use your pick axe. Everything is destructible, then use those resources to build things yourself.

So now after all I was given a PS4 from a mate I've helped a lot with restoration and everything around his house. Cannot wait for Red Dead Redemption 2 now. Any other recommendations for what I could get? Preferably older games which won't cost too much anymore, and is it really worth getting the PS+ other than playing online?

You've got quite a bit then. A couple of Uncharted games. The last Resident Evil was really good. If you didn't play The Last of Us, get right on it.
