Inglourious Basterds
Inglourious Basterds
What do you panty-sniffers think of it?
I loved it the first time I saw it. Just getting a second viewing now and its still all good. That first scene with Colonel Hans Landa in the French farmer's house is just great, proper tense even though I knew what was going to happen.

I liked it ,but it was different to what I thought it was going to be.I thought it was going to be a jolly old romp like in the parts with Brad Pitt, but it was quite serious and had far more gore in it than I thought it would.
Brad Pitt doing the Italian accent was very funny mind.

I agree. I think it got a bit slated for trying to be too clever for its own good but I think people who think that kind of missed the point.
Some brilliant moments of tension mixed with a kind of dark humour and some decent violence.
The characters are obviously very 'film-like' but its supposed to be like that, it would lose the feel if they were all starchy and lifelikeThe Mike Myers role was well done as well, that could have gone very wrong.

I would like to see a film in the style of the Jew Hunter like you say though. The way he came over quite warm, only to be an utter cold blooded murderer minutes later was pretty good.Stole the film really.
We must watch the original I think.I'm not sure if it is a carbon copy or not, but it's meant to be good.

Yeah I thought that. i have a bit of an aversion to old war films though, they never really thrilled me much, Great Escape, River Kwai, das Boot, all that. Don't know why really.
I do love the way it changes history though, the ending is great.
Just watched the scene in the taver, 'say auf wiedersehn to your nazi balls!'
I'm also downloading the blu of the directors cut of Alien. Haven't seent that in years and am considering the 4 film bluray boxset which is about to be released.

Just stick them on a hard drive or a cheap flash drive (£5 in Argos) and stick it in the USB port
goto video highlight the drive, press triangle, view all, play....simple

Windows 7 has its own media server, mines plugged into my router with my ps3. Just bung AVI fillums in your videos folder, make sure windows media player sees it and so should your PS3.
RE: Inglourious Basterds
I really enjoyed this film, especially the scene rich mentions and also the scene in the pub where the spy *SPOILER* gives himself away when he orders 3 drinks in a way that a genuine german wouldn't.
As for watching films on my PC. I have mine desktop plugged straight into my tv so it's ideal.
