Re: he Booze Thread
Went out on a mini pub crawl with a mate yesterday afternoon. He was smashed by the end of it. These things happen. I tried to get him him in a cab but he was having none of it. He just texted me this morning and said he must have fallen over on the way home as his hand ankle and nose hurt.
And he shit himself.
And he shit himself.

I know. Couldn't believe it when I read it this morning. Only had eight or nine pints. He was alright one minute, then he was all over the shop the next.
Re: he Booze Thread
Eight or nine pints I'd be well pissed as I don't really drink that quantity of beer these days, but shitting your packet ffs

I keep looking at the text and laughing. You'll have to excuse his English.
Re: he Booze Thread
Bloody hell
At least he seems good natured about it. Bet it was funny to watch at the time. (Not the bit obv)

ThNkfully only did it once when I was smashed. The burning sensatation the next morning is some thing you won't forget in a while, oh and the smell too, especially as somehow woke up in the back seat of someone's car

Re: he Booze Thread
Black Sheep Ale is decent tbf. Getting old, getting into ales
Re: he Booze Thread
Any of you guys into craft ales?
Close mate of mine started his own micro brewery, not sure if I've mentioned it. So I've kind of got into it a bit. It's great though as he lives two minutes walk away and I can just text him and he brings whatever I want home and I just go pick it up. Like I've done tonight. Craft ale straight from the tit, it really truly doesn't get much more hipster and it's also bloody lovely, the bloke has got talent

Is it hard to do? my dad made me some beer for my 18th and it was pretty nice tbf.
Re: he Booze Thread
I don't think it's that hard to get the basics, I guess it depends how far you want to take it by learning and experimenting and all that
Might give it a try at some point now you've put the idea in my head

Re: he Booze Thread
I got my dad a kit for his birthday about 5/6 years ago. We made 60 bottles of Brooklyn ipa.
He gave them out as Xmas presents which unfortunately was too soon for them to ferment properly. When people tried them st Xmas time they tasted awful.
I had some left lying about which I drank one summer night and they were delish.
My wife also bought me a kit a few xmas’s ago. I don’t really have the space so I think it was only a 5litre kit or something small. This kit didn’t include the process of adding bubbles/gas to the brew, a more traditional style ale. It was just horrible stuff imho
Remember Lorenzo who used to post on here, he was big into it

This is the kit I had
https://www.firebox.com/Brewdog-Punk-IP ... -Kit/p6982
But like I say there was no gas, it was a traditional ale which I don’t particularly like but some of you guys might. It was a nice little project but I don’t really have the room.
The kit I bought my Dad was much bigger and included the gear to bottle up the brew.
