If cinemas were open it’d be about that for a ticket. I wonder how much prices are going to go up by if they ever manage to reopen :scared:

About half way through. So far so good. Aspect ratio is weird though.

Watched 2.5 last night up until supes is resurrected

It's very Infinity War up to this point

It won't end on the cliff hanger Infinity War did

Final battle is great

The next 20 min setting up multiple sequels is very tacked on

Given the fall out with actors from the OG is the ending a reset button or call to arms by Snyder's twitter mob (again)

Is there a decent copy out of it yet?

EDIT: Nevermind downloading a 4k copy now.

I surprisingly enjoyed that. The end of the film was all over the gaff though.

Yeah I had this issue, downloaded a few different copies and they all had black bars on the sides.

So how did Snyder's version differ from the original as I've never seen it.

I only saw Whedon’s version once in the cinema so don’t massively remember it but I remember feeling it was all cobbled together and not very cohesive. I didn’t know what mother boxes were (except Dave’s mums obv) and didn’t care because the film didn’t make me want to know. Steppenwolf just seemed like a shit, unexplained Thanos equivalent and Cyborg and Flash I knew nothing about and didn’t care either. Again the mark of a shit film for me. This new one addresses all that. Also Darkseid wasn’t in it at all so Steppenwolf just seemed tacked on for the sake of having a bad guy.

Regarding the aspect ratio it sort of won me over by the end. In the big battles I could actually see the idea behind it and it helped my brain process all the on screen action.

This afternoon I’m going to rewatch BvS then put ZSJL on straight after, can’t wait tbh

That's like stating what consistency of shit you like.

Solid but slightly wet for the record.

Was the pacing as good in the original film? for a 4 hour film I thought the pacing was really good, never got bored throughout watching it until the epilogue where it was a bit messy.

I couldn’t tell you honestly mate, it was a few years back now. All I know is is it left me so flat I basically lost all interest in DC at that point. I sort of enjoyed MoS and BvS though not enough to get excited.

Yeah same here. I was expecting it to be shite.

I've always been Marvel > DC but I genuinely enjoyed that this morning.

What I'm confused about is as far as I know there is only one or two new parts that Snyder shot. So did the original director (who came in late, not saying he's shit) not use some of the same original footage that Snyder used? I need to watch the original to compare the two.

Ok I just watched BvS again. Before, I sort of liked it and maybe because I wasn’t that invested in it I didn’t pay too much attention to the debates about it. Now on watching it again, with the proper Justice League story giving it context I liked it a whole lot more :icon_thumbsup:

I’ll watch BvS tomorrow, looking forward to that.

But for now time for Justice League again I think :poundit:
