Re: Covid
No they went from 48hr contacts, to 24hr and now we haven't the capacity to test any close contacts.
I can get tested in work next week if I want, none of us have any symptoms

Re: Covid
I suspect another lockdown will be announced in the next day or two. I know it would fuck businesses and whatnot but if we just completely lock everything non essential down from now til the end of feb, that combined with the vaccines would hopefully knock this thing out.

Re: Covid
Much better now. Just in time to go back to work. Load of shit.
Re: Covid
So the 4 of us all negative
However the 80 year dad in law has gone positive, the Mrs niece being the source as she was the Crimbo day cook.
I drove him ( the dad n law ) to Wexford the following day , 3 hours sitting beside him . So even though I’m negative at the moment, it would be a bloody miracle if I don’t get it

Re: Covid
Nothing worse than feeling like I had a bad virus really. Puking, shitting, and I fucking hate the body aches. Not pleasant at all, but never life threatening. Although I do remember my breating getting bad one afternoon. The fatigue thing hit me a lot in the afternoons as well. Lost my sense of taste and smell in the seconf week, but only for a handful of days. Not being able to taste food is odd, and not nice. Some people have it for weeks, which must be awful.
Overall, I think I got off lightly, but I'm still not 100% three weeks later.

Still cant get over the fact that they let people mingle over christmas, surely people can go one fucking year without seeing people they don't really want to see anyway.

Re: Covid
That's Boris for you. Monday it was fine to send your kids to school. Words from his very own mouth.
Tuesday - No, don't do that
I'm not just Tory bashing here. I'll give governments some slack here as no one really knows the best thing to do, but he's been shocking

Re: Covid
Thing is, it goes the other way as well. Late December he upped it to tier four and everyone was complaining that he’d ruined Xmas, then the other day he announced full lockdown and everyone said he’d left it too long. Can’t have it both ways.
I’ve no love for him or the tories and am not trying to defend them but whatever action they take will get complained about because no one is having a good time at the moment.
Personally I find myself blaming the hordes of stupid obnoxious people that won’t take simple precautions and end up ruining everyone else’s efforts.
