Am I mad?
Considering paying €1200 for an iPhone X
Current model 6s has gone through 2 battery replacements in the last 6 weeks and I think it’s time to sell it on before it becomes worthless
CEX will only give me €180 for it

Do you really have to ask?

It’s very desirable tbf, real premium upgrade and I like the UI that goes with the new no home button.
Screen is the best I’ve seen on a phone and the camera is great too.
I’ve had this 6s since launch, October 2015

I've gone the other way with phones. I just look at mine and prey it keeps working. Can't be doing with forking out hundreds on a new one.

Well of course you have to get a good run out of them to justify the expense and I think 2.5 years was a good run for this phone
It’s still a high end model so I don’t think I could swap it for low to mid Android. A Galaxy 8 is €800 and is already been replaced

Re: Am I mad?
The most I ever spent on a phone was £500 for the S3, and I never got on with it. Got the S5 second hand for £200 a year or two back. It is starting to play up a bit now, but I really don't want to buy a new one.

How much memory?
Re: Am I mad?
I'm not sure it matters. At that price it's never going to be enough.

Re: Am I mad?
Can you really trust these Asian shops
Re: Am I mad?
I personally wouldn't buy from anywhere except a trusted outlet, specially for something that high end. Just my two cents like. I suppose you can always make him demonstrate that it does everything it's supposed to first?

Yeah, I've been in two of those phone shops, and both times it was shit and they didn't know what they were talking about.

Re: Am I mad?
Battery fried again on my 6s overnight so I needed a new phone and it’s not worth anything in trade now
I opted for an authorized apple premium reseller
€1200 with a case

Re: Am I mad?
I might be pretty bonkers myself, as about three or four months back I noticed forty quid coming out of my account from O2.
I left them back in 2013, so I'm sitting there thinking "Fucking hell Dave. I know you're bad with money, but not noticing that amount of money coming out of your account for five years is something else" About two and a half grand in fact.
So I thought fuck this and hit cancel the direct debit on my account only to get a letter drop on the mat from them demanding the money. And then another one after I had ignored it for a couple of weeks now asking for £80.00. I ignored that for a couple of weeks as well.
Today I get a letter with O2 on the envelope, so I open it expecting more threats, but no. It's to tell me that my tarriff is going up £1.08 a month.
Realising that this is getting stupid, I decide to call them up, and just pay the last bill and get them to cut it off, but the very helpful man on the phone agreed with me that it looked like fraud. Been set if for two years with no activity on it, but somehow it's linked to someone elses account that does.
Now he's sent that off to their fraud squad, and I might get a full refund
Or end up doing time. One or the other.
Summary: I really should grow up.

Re: Am I mad?
That’s worse than that cheque I found a few weeks ago
Re: Am I mad?
Fucking hell
I had a similar thing with BT about 10 years ago though not as long or as much. Moved away from their then-shitty broadband service and only about 6 months later I noticed they were still taking the money each month. So I phoned up and got them to pay it back immediately which they did. That experience taught me to keep closer eye on my outgoings, which I have done since.
Well I hope you like it Dub, it's gotta be one of the, if not the actual best phone in the world at that price so fair play.
