The pacing was really bad in this one and some ridiculous plot holes. Going off piste from the books has meant a lot of silliness. Wtf was Benjen doing out there at that moment. Who was the fella running away from the wight walker bear thing.

I would guess maybe Bran sent Benjen to help Jon but who knows. I know what you mean about the pacing; it does stretch artistic license quite far but the show is awesome enough to get away with it imho.

I agree, It does look like shadowing or water. Water was my first thought, but it doesn't look like any hits that part.

And why would it mean he died again?

Well most of that episode was shite.

Superbly written episode imho, really enjoyed it.

With Little finger dead I guess that symbolises the end of all the shady political maneuvering (except Cersei) and next season will be all epic battles and carnage.

Did you notice Tyrion lurking around when you know who were doing their thing? Wonder what that is going to mean....

Yeah, I wondered why he was lurking around outside. I hadn't noticed any implication that he wanted a piece of her in the show before.

The Theon part in particular made me squirm. Load of bollocks that part. The last 15-20 minutes were pretty good though.

I thought Jamie was going to get it at the part as well.

Didn't think it was confirmed yet? Apparently shooting starts in October. But then also apparently it will be six feature length episodes, so I guess that's basically like shooting six movies. The wait is going to be awful.

Two other random thoughts:

Does this mean Arya can/will now use Littlefinger's face?

Also, seeing the army of the dead with the undead dragon, undead giants etc - where is undead Hodor?


Oh and one more. Why do I get the feeling Cersei is either lying about being preggers, or the baby is actually......Euron's.

Something I had a problem with, which I know is stupid, was the way they showed the wall.

I know it's a wall,. It's called The Great Wall, and they built it to keep those fuckers out, but in my mind the show has always portrayed it as a cliff top. Like Castle Black was at the top of the wall, and they didn't have to walk up it every time they wanted to look over the top. They always use the lift for the other side. Do you know what I mean?

Yeah but I can't say I noticed it myself. It didn't quite feel like the huge thrilling climax of previous seasons for some reason. Still gr8 though. The buildup for next season will be unbearable.
