Just watched episode 8. It's starting to wrap up.
Greatest show since Lost. Not even Mr Robot is as engaging and entertaining at the same time.
Almost all of it took me by surprise as well.

Just as one has ended, another comes around. Just finished the premiere of the new Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency series and I never thought I'd enjoy it that much. With Douglas Adams being my favourite person in the world and the Hitchhiker's movie being a bit short of brilliant, I was very sceptical before this. But the first episode delivered, if nothing else. Definitely worth a watch, even if you don't know the novels it's based on.

Yep, Hopkins was fantastic as pretty much all the main characters. Brace yourself for the finale.
Might have mentioned once or twice before how much I adore Adams, so I'm lapping up anything to do with him. There was a BBC 4 series of four episodes about Dirk Gently a few years ago, which was excellent too. This is a bit different and darker, definitely Doctor Who inspired, and very funny.

That was so good. The goosebumps on my arm when Exit Music started playing.
Certain parts were a bit hard to follow but I can't wait for next season. Might even have to read the book it was based on.

I was thinking more of Philip K Dick and might even finally start Stephen King's Dark Tower. Not really sure about the Crichton book or movie tbh.
Also had to put on subtitles after the first episode, made it much easier to keep track.

The Dark Tower is fantastic for the most part. I've read through it all twice. And if they do what I think they are going to do with the film then it could be outstanding.

Really? Everyone I know in the real world said they prefered the first as the second was pretty much a repeat. I'll make my own mind up, but I can't see it being better.
