The Euro vote

I vote my post as it saves fucking about, so I've already voted. I voted in as I'm a sound bloke :AC9:

What about the rest of you? (although 90% of you are filthy foreigners).

Last year or so ago I would have said the stay vote would win easily, but now it seems it will be a hell of a lot closer. A lot of people are basing their vote on the immigration issue it would seem. I don't really think leaving the EU will stop any of that, and I think it will have a negative impact on the economy, so that is why I'm voting in.

My mum isn't voting at all as she admits she hasn't got a fucking clue what is going on, and my dad, who has been waiting months to vote out, got his date of birth wrong on his form, so it looks like it has been tampered with, so it's probably void :icon_lol:

Actually a bloke at work, who's opinion I rate, no longer votes for the same reason.

I'm voting out because fuck being dictated to by a load of unelected bureaucrats in another country :icon_uhoh:

As if our own leaders weren't bad enough, now the remain morans want to willingly hand us over to even more corrupt and shameless bunch.

No idea how anyone could vote to stay in unless they are rich, corrupt, or suckered in by the nonsense that you're some kind of racist if you're concerned about immigration.

There are quite a lot of rules about workers rights that will be removed if we leave the Euro. I doubt a Tory leadership will be keen on putting them back in.

Which would give Labour a much needed bit of a leg up.

The lols will be deafening if the uk leaves Europe

The government will fall and the new government would only serve to get the uk back to its current footing in Europe albeit labelled as "out"

Calling it "the Brexit" FFS :icon_uhoh:

That's not really how it works.

We could end up with Boris Johnson as PM.

And Corbyn is too shit to stand against him.

Think about this logically, if Dave on here and Dave Cameron agree on something, that's pretty much a dead cert to vote against.

I think we can all agree on that.

And go with Boris Johnson? Nigel Farage? That Hamilton bloke?

Forget the political "personalities" in each of the camps and "what's in it for them" - because they've all got their noses in the trough.

I've re-read your post and realised you were taking the piss.

My point still stands though :shant:

Is there a website where can I can see a concise list for the pros and cons on staying in the EU/leaving? The problem is everybody has there own agenda and facts/figures are being manipulated either way.

I've never voted but felt now was the time to have my say and it will allow to be able to complain about things because I at least voted :AC9:

Some of those saying leave are misguided; The Sun reading; Costa Del Beer holidaying half-wits who seem to think we can banish all immigrants etc by leaving. There is a far right element creeping into it as well I think.

Haha, this is sort of widening the discussion a bit but you are right about the far right element, it's the far left who are acting like nazis these days - 'you must think the way we think or else!'

But yeah the media and politicians are not worth listening to as you and vin pointed out, I guess I will have to trust my own judgment and instincts. I really think if we stay in then within a year the whole country will be regretting it, within five years there will be pure misery.

Unelected bureaucrats in another country dictating to us on many many issues. Yeah, that certainly sounds like something that would go well for us.

We:ve been in the EU since 1973, can you tell me of any objective, hard and fast benefits we've had from it in all that time, that we couldn't have done for ourselves?

Do you know I actually can't. I bet you can't tell me what we would gain from it.

I worry a lot about about some of the workers rights that are in place because of us being in Europe. That on top of the fact that we have a government that is trying to abolish the Human Rights Act, I wonder how much happier the average man such as you or I would be outside of the EU. And like I say, I also think that it will have a negative effect on the economy over here, so I look at it as we will be more miserable in the next five years.
