So at the age of 45

Postby Lap » Sat Feb 14, 2015 6:55 am

Ive just bought my ......

first car :scared:

Ive had a motor supplied to me for the past 18 years.Time to go it alone as the BIK tax is fucking outrageous- Just a shame i had to go back to Britain to get a bit of value.
Im off to sleep in my new car :AC9:

What is it then?

I've been thinking of getting a car lately too, I have the wife's car and my van but I keep getting mistaken for the travellers in my van and I can't always get the wife's car.

I'm thinking big, like a Passat or mondeo

2011 Insignia SRi Estate Stunning car tbf
49k miles ,
Cost;
£8K =(€10,000 ON THE RATE I GOT))
VRT (import tax) €2500
Total cost €12,500

Have been looking for the same car down here, cheapest i could find €17 k

Its a no brainer , especially given the eexcellent specs available in the North- ask your mate Glen.
If you need a hand give me a shout.

That's the newer version of what I've got. Nice motor tbf.

Shit turning curve though, makes supermarket car parks interesting.

I traded my transit for a Renault Megane about 4 months ago
It’s a 10 year old, so I told the wife to start it up every other day while I was away. She didn’t

Head gasket is gone and timing belt needs replacing, 1200-1500 to put it right. I bought it for 800.

I’m only back in Ireland for one week between now and Christmas so it looks like I’ll be towing it for scrap when I do get home.
Might buy a 2018 4x4 in the new year

Just want reliability and not having to worry the thing is going to die, which the last motor was about to.
