Not actually seen any footage of what happened.

Be a lot more shooty if it were BLM I reckon, but I just heard they still had to send in 1000 troops to sort it out. Fucking hell.

In fairness they go on about ours over there as well. I bet no one gives a fuck.

Presenters on the news tonight have started on about the special relationship, which only seems to comer in to play when they need us to back them up.

I didn’t know whether to put this in the Brexit thread or the COVID thread so in here it goes.

What do you guys think about the EU trying to shaft Northern Ireland on the vaccines then? Utterly ignoring its own member state Ireland? After trying to pressure the vaccine companies in this country to hand over more to them rather than ourselves despite having had all the contracts signed for months?

I’m sure you can all guess my opinion. Just wondered what others thought.
Mistake," "misjudgement," "blunder."
These are just some of words EU insiders have been using privately to describe the European Commission's initial decision on Friday to suspend areas of the Brexit deal dealing with Northern Ireland, a part of its Covid vaccine row.
Although it then U-turned on those plans, critics say the damage was already done.
Brussels previously lectured the UK government about respecting the Irish Protocol - which was painfully and carefully drafted during Brexit negotiations.
Now the EU seemed quick to undermine the agreement.
Member state Ireland felt stung that it hadn't been consulted. This all adds to the impression of chaos surrounding the EU's vaccine rollout.
Brussels was already under fire from a growing number of EU countries for having been slow to sign vaccine contracts with pharmaceutical companies.
This "mishap" over the Irish Protocol as Spain's Foreign Minister called it, hasn't exactly helped the commission's reputation.

Despite backtracking on Article 16, the EU is still introducing new controls giving its member states the power to block exports of the coronavirus vaccine to countries including the UK - should they want to.
The move was the latest development in a deepening dispute over the vaccine producer AstraZeneca's delivery commitments to the EU.

It is an own goal on behalf of the EU for sure .Was only a matter of time before there was a blow up on something between the 2 ,couldn’t have chosen a more emotive product than the vaccine . Did I not hear that the UK has more on order than the actual population?

I haven't heard that either. We paid more than anyone else though, but no one is going to complain about that.

My dad finally got his letter about getting it today. Mum still hasn't.

This really

It was going to happen sometime sooner or later, by either side or the other. They've made an agreement 'around' northern Ireland rather than inclusive of it.

All leading up to a unified Ireland in the next 10 years when they realise how unworkable the agreement is.

Cant see it Dub , not in our lifetime.
At the merest hint of a vote, those loyal chaps will start shooting up the place big time.
Also, the last time I checked, the majority of the Republic Of Ireland want fuck all to do with the North as its so expensive to maintain, and they no longer buy into the Sinn Fein bollox

Just wish they would all just get on with it and realise that we are all Northern Irish.. not totally Brits, not totally Irish. Is that such a hard notion to grasp

And now he's being accused of using a Go Pro to film up the singer from Wolf Alice's skirt.

Fair play.
