The news thread
RE: The news thread
I'm not sure it's about not liking muslims, the French just seem a bit more keen to uphold their own identity and not be dictated to by archaic religious nut jobs than we do.
RE: The news thread

Do you not think banning the burka was not a bit archaic then?I'm not sure it's about not liking muslims, the French just seem a bit more keen to uphold their own identity and not be dictated to by archaic religious nut jobs than we do.

RE: The news thread
I think men dehumanising women by forcing them to wear a burka is a bit sexist, which is a bit archaic.Do you not think banning the burka was not a bit archaic then?I'm not sure it's about not liking muslims, the French just seem a bit more keen to uphold their own identity and not be dictated to by archaic religious nut jobs than we do.

Also in this climate of terrorism it's a practical security issue like at petrol stations where bike riders have to take their helmets off.

Looks like they're holed up next to an Aldi. Not a bad idea.
Romanian at work told me they have three rocket launchers.
No mention of them on the news strangely enough.

RE: The news thread
Not had a chance to keep up with this today, but it looks like it all kicked off. From what I can tell.
Both of the terrorists are dead. There where two hostage sites, and four of the hostages are dead. I'm finding it hard to keep up.

RE: The news thread
There's another one kicking off in a jewellery shop now. 2 hostages in Montpellier.
