Funny this gets bumped as I just got back from a great week in Devon.

Shared a converted barn with two couples, one of which had kids. Was going really good. I fell off my bike on Tuesday and have really fucked up my ribs. Still everyone happy though. The little girl was so funny. Nearly three years old, but such a cute little angel. The lad is hard work and wants to punch me all the time, which was fine until the bike fall. Then I had to pull back a bit and spend some time to myself when we're in the the barn as I'm in so much pain.

All going well so, despite me going with the childless couple to Lydford Gorge. Not suitable for kids, but fuck me, what a walk. like being on the set of Preditor.

Ah, fuck it. Then this happened..........

Until they somehow had a row after. And I'll say it again. After they had gone to bed on Wednesday.

I came home yesterday as the atmosphere was toxic. A five hour drive with what I can only say are cracked ribs and a heavy heart was bollocks :sakho:

Gatwick-Verona. I've been keeping an eye on weather forecasts. It can get a bit thundery i think cos of the mountains effecting the climate. But a lot of sun as well.

Let me know if its good shit. Best cheap beers etc. Have fab time :josh:

What were they arguing about? Must have been serious if they let it spoil the trip.

The thoughts of driving a car around Italy has my stomach in ribbons
We are flying with Ryanair to Bergamo airport and it says online taxi is 70€ each so we hired a car
I need a drink to settle my nerves tbh

One of the couples have two kids. We went out cycling one day, but it all got a bit messy as the kids couldn't really do it. One of the blokes thought that after that day the other bloke had been off with him about it and hadn't really spoken to him. I can't say that I noticed this, and the other bloke had been playing with his kids the day after just fine.

It's the other blokes wife that is the problem. I knew before I left that if there was going to be a problem, then she would be the instigator. And then she goes and starts a row with the other couple when they're lying in bed.

Yeah good I didn't realise lake Garda was so big there's actually a few resorts around it, we are in Sirimone just off the peninsula. The peninsula itself is very picturesque with a castle with drawbridge narrow streets full of flowers and that.
We had rain forecast 2 days so one we went to Milan to visit the San Siro and yesterday went to Venice, the car has come in very handy tbf.

The bars aren't great, no music on no atmosphere or craic
Food goes without saying is immense.

Severe lack of water sports on the lake

I'll be honest, whilst I enjoyed the break I didn't enjoy the resort.
There's fuck all to do during the day and there's no pub culture at all. Sure places sell beer but no music, no sport on tv and they give you looks for drinking too quickly

Bit of sightseeing which without the car we wouldn't have been able to do. Watersports.
Italy played Uruguay last week and nowhere showed it.
A bar should always have sport on the TV or background music playing.

You can usually find a sports pub after a Google search. Weather was mixed was it? Bit of rain bit of sun. You go to water park/theme park? How was Venice? Full of cunts i bet.

There really aren't any pubs
The resort we stayed on had water slides so we didn't bother with the aqua park. Venice was decent but yeah packed with tourists
