Sort of a hands on foreman for a builder, a bit of everything and anything from digging foundations to plastering (what I'm qualified as)
I'll be handed the keys to the site and run it as I wish in regards hiring men and what not

I'll also have my own thing on the side which of late is next to nothing but if it was an extra day a week say Saturday or a late evening yer man is ok with that

Ripped out 2 bathrooms - the units, all the tiles, all the drywall loaded it In buckets down 2 flights of stairs and filled the skip

Tomorrow I need to insulate them which is an itchy bastard and put 14 sheets of drywall back up, carrying it all up the stairs alone
I really could do with a hand but I don't want yer man to think I'm taking the piss and hiring blokes just for the heck of it

tbf dub that sounds like a two man job that you`re doing or at very least one man and a pole/latvian gofer

Steel fixing must be sick. yeah i dont miss carrying those ruddy massive metal grids around sites hands getting abused whilst some mong doesn't live his end up high enough so i end up doing most of the work. I also dont miss days on the jackhammer. BUT i do miss being outside. Im working for a premium sunglasses company now its proper cruisey. Easy as picking/packing working with an above average looking 18yr old German chick had a BBQ last week at work, free beer on a Friday, got free USB stick and beach towel today and will be getting a free pair of $400 shades as like a Xmas bonus. Apparently the Xmas parties are a bit spesh as well free booze and all that.

lol ya did a bit of fixing so.
it can be a right cunt alright to carry the heavy mesh when you have a muppet at the other end espically when you have to carry it across a double layer and the idiot keeps losing his balance or fallin by steping into the squares. sayin that the mesh is probably the easiest part of it.
tying steel is a real cunt on your back or try lugging a 8 meter 32mm bar(about 70 kgs) on your shoulder around a site
but i suppose its like anything, you get use to it
the money was class while it lasted but fuck all work like that in ireland now. the whole building industry has been basically wipeout over night

No no my man i never did it myself. i was just a labourer moving the mesh around for the fixers and concreters and that. some of the mesh sheets are fucking massive a right cunt. i can guarantee its good money to be a fixer out here every tradie is on at least 25 bucks an hour on site.
