What happened then?

I'm tempted to stock TLJ on tonight

Don't know yet, I stopped paying attention tbh.

I've watched TLJ five or six times, trying to like it. It hasn't worked. There are only two scenes I like.

Don't tell me. Leia flying through space and Luke drinking milk?

Erm, no.

The bit where 'luke' goes on the falcon and sees r2 again who shows him the Leia hologram from A New Hope. And that leads to the scene when he reconnects with the Force, which wakes Leia from her coma, and at that moment there is a vista shot of two peaks of the island representing Luke and Leia, it's a great moment.

That's it though. That fucking power ranger fight in gollums parlour seems to get highly praised and I have no idea why.

Actually I didn't mind that bit.

I can't bear that whole scene. Ooh, scary red walls and gollum using the force like it's an x men power, and then Rey and Kylo even having to fight at all, why didnt kylo just choke them out with the Force or Rey just put them all to sleep or something, she can fucking do everything else that's asked of her with no trouble.

Star Wars: Episode IX will begin filming at London’s Pinewood Studios on August 1, 2018. J.J. Abrams returns to direct the final installment of the Skywalker saga. Abrams co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Terrio.

Returning cast members include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, and Billie Lourd. Joining the cast of Episode IX are Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant, who will be joined by veteran Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian.

The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. “We desperately loved Carrie Fisher,” says Abrams. “Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.”

R1 in sky again just now - fucking love it

R1 is a decent film, I watched it again the other night.

It's easy because of plinkett and all the others to just nitpick and be cynical for he sake of it and you can of course do that with Rogue One but for me it's a strong movie that respects what needs respecting but is also kind of it's own thing.

Something the Last Jedi fails at utterly. They really should strike that movie from the record. It is bollocks. Dub you probably noticed I fell down a Star Wars rabbit hole on twatter

I want to get back in for IX but I just don't know at this point. I'd feel better if they just fucked Rian Johnson off. He makes me want to stay away as long as he's near it tbh tbf. The man is a cunt. He reminds me of the prince off the old place. Knows a few long words so thinks he's superior. He ain't. He's a fraud.
