That scene is so magical compared to the tripe served up these days. Just that line, 'Vader was seduced by the dark side of the force' - so full of intrigue and menace.

The first time you hear that stuff about the Force, Vader, clone wars etc it's so full of promise and mystery and possibility. As a kid it was mesmerising. Now we get what. Mum jokes and leia flying in space. Fuck off.

The prequels don’t seem so bad now, the cgi may be shite and the dialogue poor but the anakin/obi wan character building are actually really good

An Obi Wan movie with the 2 McGregors would be great, we know Disney can do a good Star Wars (Rogue One) so why not...

yep, no arguments here. Rian Johnson has been given a whole trilogy, Disney announced that before Last Jedi same out, I wonder if they regret it.

I actually suspect that given some time to reflect he could still do a good Star Wars film but right now Disney must be wishing they'd just given the lot to Abrams.

The weird thing is, I get why some people like it. i just don't get why people like Kermode and Smith pretend to like it. It's not a good standalone film and it has damaged Star Wars as a whole. Disney had made a half decent start with TFA and Rogue One. Neither perfect but both entertaining and getting us hyped for the future. Then this turd dropped in our mouths.
