As someone who isn't really into that type of music can one of you let me know why Radiohead are basically regarded as gods? Not having a go at them just genuinely curious.

I like their songs tbf which was why I thought of posting. It's not something I'd listen to everyday but it's a common conception that they are other-wordly and as someone who doesn't really listen to that genre of music its hard to see why.

I don't know about the gods thing but I guess part of it is that they never let themselves be confined by one style. And by experimenting and taking risks (which didn't always work but generally were still pretty good) they sort of created their own style which no one could possibly imitate well.
Under all that though you have just a bunch of excellent musicians writing great songs and that is really what it's about. For me anyway.

I'm pretty hooked on the new Breeders album, All Nerve. I love it. Been listening to it 3-4 tims a day this last week or so. I bloody love Kim Deal.
