I've never actually bought anything on eBay before. I'm ordering running shoes from Singapore which are dirt cheap and the seller has positive feedback and all that shite. The price says it includes P&P but have any of you guys ever ordered anything from Asia and been hit with duty charges??

This is a whole new world to me. :giggidy:

Yeah I've bough a few things from the Far East. Memory cards, PS3 controller etc...

Never got hit with anything. I knew someone how bought all sorts of film memorabilia from the states and got charged duty quite often. He seemed to think it was the luck of the draw.

I can't stop thinking somethings not right! These shoes are at least £110-120 everywhere I'd checked before I looked on eBay and some place in Singapore is selling them for £44 including P&P.

That doesn't sound right at all, but look through the feedback and see if you can find comments about similar products they have sold. If they are fake, then plenty of people would have mentioned it by now.

All the comments are things like 'exactly as product was described', 'great delivery service' etc. Feedbacks a sentence at best, no proper review. No mention of fakes. Just a bit sceptical.

At that price if it's from that part of the world then they are fakes. When i was in SEA theres fake shit everywhere, they are though most likely very very good fakes i mean they are just made in a sweatshop same as the real thing.

I got some Dr Dre Beats headphones in Bangkok they are not the real deal but the box they came in, the carry case, cleaning cloth and most importantly the sound are spot on. Cost me about £35 quid for the best headphones i ever had.

If the seller has got good feeback then go for it. I got white PS3 pad from play-asia and it got here without charges quicker than if i had ordered it in the UK. I thought you would get charged if it's a large bulky item.

if they are fakes they are fucking excellent fakes! I think I'll just go ahead and get them, take a risk. They look like the real deal alright.

Like Mark says, it would seen they sell fakes, but good ones. Depends what you want them for really. Is it because of what they do, or how they look? If it's because of how they look then you'll probably do alright.

Yeah mate they make excellent fakes over there. If others are rating the product highly then do it !! your main concern would be poor feedback for deliveries and people not receiving anything.

I have some stuff on Ebay right now old Lizzy shirts and that it's strangely addictive keeping an eye on the bids and that.

They will be fakes. There's a huge market for people who want "replica" items.
Some people can't tell fakes anyway.

I thought fuck it all and went to Sports Direct and bought a new pair of Asics Nimbus 13's (for heel strikers like myself). Gonna take them for a spin tomorrow as I'm off work thank god. Cheers for all the input gents.

Got a 55" screen from telly for being there so long, so I sold it on Ebay. Didn't get as much as I wanted for it, of course, but the bloke paid up, so I shipped it and he got it Monday.

Now he's contacted me tonight trying to get money back as it looks opened and I sold it as unopened, which it fucking well was. Cunts had it a week as well. Always hassle selling anything worth money on that place.

Tell him to fuck off. I've had legitimate problems in the past, and I've always been helpful, but he clearly wants some money back. For some cellotape.

Why did you buy a 55” tv without any need for it? And surely there’s better ways of selling it?
