So if they want more life, why do they go about killing their creator.
Because he couldn't give them what they wanted but they were still just as he designed them, 'more human than human' which means human feelings and actions like anger and revenge.
As for the metaphor that's up to you but I don't see that, I see it more about the human condition, slavery, over reliance on technology etc etc
